As a kid, I hated writing with a passion.

I never fully picked up cursive, and at this point there are giant gaps in what I remember.

As an adult, I enjoy writing and do a fair bit of it. However, I do all of this in printing.

I'd like to pick up cursive again, however I'm not exactly sure where to start at this point. Does anyone have specific resources or workbooks they would recommend?

i'm sure a simple set of printout pages might help, there are resources all around. most of it is muscle memory so just doing those generic printout pages for 30mins each day for a month will give you great cursive, then just speed and personal style are your tasks to figure out
