Today I'm recommending Blue Giant by Ishizuka Shinichi.

This right here is one of the best music manga of all time in my opinion. The story is about Miyamoto Dai, whose entire life was changed when he first heard jazz music. Aspiring to be a jazz musician, he puts his all in his tenor saxophone playing, and you see him grow from a novice to an amazing saxophone player, and his journey to become the best jazz musician he could possibly be. The story is enriching, full of triumph and how he takes his challenges head on. Along with that, there are excerpts in the chapters that leap forward into the future where characters he's met have been enriched by him, talk about his humble origins, and how they knew he could go the distance.

This is by far one of the best manga I've read. I own the entire manga in print, and when the sequels get printed in English, I'll own them too.
