I wonder if there's a game set on a ship that makes you use the correct terms (deck, overhead, bulkhead, etc.).
A number of Infocom adventures including the Hitchhikers Guide make you use fore/aft/port/starboard instead of n/s/w/e when you’re on a ship
Real sicko game design would be to simulate the ship’s heading, changing it over time, and interpret the cardinal directions literally when you use them instead of the ship directions
I'm not a native English speaker, I had no idea there was a difference.
I would say calling the floor the ground is only about 25% weird, whereas calling the ground the floor is 98% weird.
except when you're using a phrase like "the ocean floor" or "the forest floor"! english is silly.
