yeah, we intend to provide a better solution for patron-only benefits than this once we have subscriptions, but there's a lot of good uses for hidden drafts
I imagine a "publish unlisted" option would be nice to keep such posts separate from actual drafts, but that sounds like an amount of extra engineering work for small gains. this is pretty cool!
this is kind of what I was thinking - not super intuitive that, ie, accidentally sharing a link to your draft would actually let somebody else see it if they navigated to that page

This post is a draft. It's not publicly visible, but you can send people links to it.
I think this explains it pretty well - so while potentially unintuitive, if everyone sees this, I think that's at least mitigated. Would still be nice to have an explicit "posted but not on the timeline" state though!
