Did you know that some folks on 4chan recently translated the cult classic RPG Maker game Hat World into English? Specifically, this is 新約・帽子世界 (Hat World: New Testament), a remake of the original game with a ton of new material. From what I've played so far, it's a fascinating mix of Romancing Saga style characters building, Valkyrie Profile style side-scrolling and slightly seedy Touhou-style design sensibilities. There's a bit of Disgaea maximalism in there too, with countless manipulatable systems determining the strength of your enemies and the stat caps of your party.
As far as I know, it's only available here on MEGA, where they're still actively patching it. You can also find the original Japanese version here if you like. I'll have more to say about this game as I play through it, but in the meantime, I recommend checking it out! Remember to set your computer to Japanese locale while extracting the file and playing the game though. You could also try Locale Emulator.
