i myself am not one but hearing about how people feel connections to animals that aren't just loving the animal is so cool.
a lot of them feeling like they have/should have tails, paws, wings, etc. that's so interesting i cannot fully imagine that that feels like.
(i mean i sorta can with the whole tail thing but that's something to think about for another day)

Therian is the involuntary identity where someone identifies AS an animal, non-physically. So if someone is a cat therian then they identify as a cat!
A strong connection where one feels they relate or see the animals as family falls more into the term Otherhearted.
Those are the basics, but of course identity is much more tricky and complicated and labels/terms will not always work the same for one as they do for another.

I'm still learning about stuff myself as I only really accepted that I was nonhuman earlier this year. I had a feeling for a while, but was hesitant and avoidant because of a situation that happened the year before. Said situation had nothing to do with anything in the community and actually with someone outside of it that does not accept it and other similar identity things, but that's a whole other story.
I don't have any specifics on myself, which is why I am simply nonhuman at this point.
