i see commissions where the artist asked to be anonymous and while i can understand not wanting to be associated with a particular thing as an artist, i'm not sure i understand commissioning an artist who doesn't want to be associated with you as a commissioner

yeah for sure i can get why as an artist i might want to be anonymous

in context of what brought it to mind, seeing it in a kink space where minors aren't present, it feels like it would be dismissive or condescending from the commissioner standpoint?

I can shee it if it's phrased/understoodf as "it's nothing personal, I just don't want people on my ass about this."

I wouldn't commission someonef who was like "ew, okay, but you have to pay extra and nobody must know," buf if they were like "yeah, fuck the haters, but they got snipers on me" I'd be more understandink, meowf

yeah the intention means a lot as a commissioner, i think the best one i saw brought up elsewhere was a few artists remaining anonymous when the content could get them in trouble in their country if it was tied to them which is very much a "i have no trouble with this but i literally got snipers on me" moment
