the phone i have now, a blackberry key2, is the first android phone i've mainlined. before that i used bb10 (qnx), symbian, maemo, and various feature phones

i'm looking to see what other phone OSs might still exist?

windows phone is gone, i'm not terribly interested in iOS at the moment, nor the many plethora of "android but different"

sailfish os is still out there but seemingly not available in the US

is anyone using ubuntu touch? anything else esoteric out there?

in reply to @pinball's post:

I've been considering a pinephone or a pinephone pro for my next phone. I havent done a whole lot of research, but you didnt mention those so i thought id talk about them. They seem to support replaceable back covers for stuff like physical keyboards and wireless charging

ooo, gonna for sure take a look and research, i'd love to be able to keep a keyboard

the jolla phone (which got like 7 years of updates???) running sailfish os was originally marketed with an optional keyboard backplate replacement "coming soon" which never materialized, but i bet i would have enjoyed it back when it was newer |3
