using cohost on mobile i think i found the one thing "an app" would do better: not taking me back a page when i reflexively hit the back button out of the image lightbox
but also i think that's getting a facelift in the future so probably not something to worry about?
Yeah, I dig that. I make use of sites like Twitter, Cohost, Mastodon instances and Discord in a web browser tab, so I have a mouse and keyboard in front of me and a nice big 29" flatscreen before my eyes for good visual detail, and if I miss anything small that might remind me the UI works differently on different sites.
Muscle memory is a lot different between a desktop PC and a mobile's touchscreen, even if there's a lot of overlap contextually between how each of them work and each site in turn. But there will always been handicaps to that use before a body is used to those limits, when said limits of the hardware and control surfaces and each site's varied operational UI overlap and decides to complicate things.
