seeing someone pursuing a ych not long after putting out a call for money where every bit helps erodes my faith in people to be telling the truth when they really do need help

its not so much that theyre lying, in that its more like... they were in financial trouble for sucking at budgeting.

to be clear this isn't about anyone in particular on here or otherwise, but a pattern of behavior i have seen in a variety of people i know which disheartens me
