Reasons to make a Discord server for people you know (like 65 to 75 percent cohost mutuals)
- Chat socialization is different from social media
- You’ll get to actually have conversations
- You’ll get to know these people better
- Your real-life socialization is struggling; you should focus on your online socialization more
- You can get your Cohost mutuals to meet the other people you like
- Overall good idea
Reasons to not do this
- I use my server to send things between my phone and computer conveniently and those things are usually at least somewhat personal/private
- You don’t know if people will actually talk in there (what would they talk about? do people just decide to talk in one server over another? i’m only part of 3 servers idk)
- scary :(
You could just make a private channel where you post your files
