Game UI Database creator Edd Coates has revamped and relaunched the mammoth repository to help designers find inspiration when creating their own user interfaces.
The database is a free resource that was built to provide a fast and efficient way of searching for UI reference materials. It currently contains over 55,000 screenshots and more than 1,700 videos from precisely 1,341 titles.
In a post on X, Coates explained the new-look 2.0 database has arrived after almost three years of work and includes new features such as the ability to filter content by screen type, controls, textures, patterns, HUD elements, color, and more.

this was the personal project of someone who was doing one of the gritty cop shows that was making a lot of money. miami vice, i think. the network made so much money off of gritty shit that they eventually just wrote him a blank check and said make whatever you want and this is what he made. seriously, if you love bonkers lore dives, this one is worth it.
[15/04 Edit:] This is now closed; only keeping the post so I can track who's submitted requests when I get around to them. I've received them all and have contacted you through Artconomy by now, one way or the other.
Thank you all for contributing, and here's hoping we'll still have a site to come back to months from now.
17/03 Edit: I didn't realize it was possible to pay the subscription monthly (which makes perfect sense in hindsight) and neglected to specify buying a whole year's subscription. Getting a €30 sketch for a $5 sub that can be cancelled a month in doesn't track for me, sorry - the intended trade was a sketch for a $50 cohost sub, which is what seemed fair.
If you've already done so, you can go to manage your subscription and at the bottom of that page, you'll find links to your invoices and receipts. You can redact any personally identifying info, but please include what would prove that you made the purchase - account name, email address, that kinda thing. I WILL vet requests and reject those that look suspicious.
To claim your sketch, go to my listing page here, click "Order," and follow the instructions to request your art.
Attach proof of purchase via the reference materials uploader, along with a screenshot of your cohost Plus section showing the expiry date and your username. Then, comment on this post so I know you submitted it.
So go get subscribing, and snag yourself some art. Perhaps porn, if you prefer.
PS: Sorry, pre-existing subscribers. Redoubling your subscription only charges pro-rata based on what's left until your renewal and I had to draw the line (ha) somewhere, otherwise I'd go insane with all the requests and I wanted a good return on my time for the site.
