If our world leaders think it's so fun to start wars and destroy peoples' lives for fun and profit, then they should do it themselves. Militaries are death gigantic machines dedicated towards dehumanization and murder.
I believe that, if we're destined to continue in the direction we are (hell) we need to replace war with our politicians fighting each other in a no-holds barred MMA fight. Politicians can't be athletes either, they need to be out of shape and bad at fighting. The ring is the great equalizer, and no amount of spending or political power could ever change what happens on it—there are those who can overcome the odds, learn combat learn combat a swaddled child and win, and those who lose and possibly die.
