The nice thing about being in physics at my age is that all the boomers are going to die soon; gen x people are starting to retire; all the millennials are all fucking off and doing AI bullshit in industry; and all the other zoomers are both not enrolling in physics as much and the ones that are will probably just go into industry as well. If I play my cards right, getting a good position doing physics research might actually be pretty easy.
