Holger Czukay was a German musician who pioneered experiments in sampling, ambient, electronics, and unorthodox rock. His music would echo through my childhood home a lot (my dad is a huge fan), so hearing it immediately turns me five years old again

I absolutely love Holger's 1979 track Persian Love, which was partly sampled from a recording he made off the Iranian national radio. There's a melancholy to it that seems to say "Be sad that I'm gone, be happy that I was here"
