Today in beam saber, the Tempest are asked by Dr. Eugenia Parallax, a supposed scientist employed by Dr. Ravine's sponsor, to steal the proof of concept test frame used to develop the mech that fellow pilot Arle uses, the Raven Model H. Arle has complicated feelings about the newtype-based psychic tech falling into the hands of the Nightfall Coalition, while Ravine discovers via research and the use of her security clearance that Dr. Eugenia is embedded in Ophelia on behalf of Isola Sycorax to steal rival tech. Ophelia Cybertronics knows she's there, and has benefited from her in the past when she stole actuator designs from a Prospero corporation that have been used in their prosthetic limb technology. The tech they're targeting was used in the contentious Falconry Initiative, a Gloucester Technologies program that engineered children with psychic potential and paired them with specialized machines in an attempt to create a next generation of pilots for the Republic of Arcadia. Arle was one of those children; his rival is his partner from the program before he deserted. It's unclear how many of its pilots remain active. They've learned that the complex is guarded by 4 basic infantry mechs, as well as two stealth support mechs, and can call reinforcements from the First Army. They're in the process of planning how to get in and get out.
