This isn't a single animated image, it's two SVGs, one of which is animated with in-line CSS. As such, you can zoom in as far as you like and not get pixelation, and the FPS is the browser's render speed.
Now that eggbug is soon to leave us, i wish i had this file so i can have it as a screensaver
