Over 4 years ago, fionna wrote an essay about finding healthy plurality in a critically acclaimed MMORPG (free trial, level 70, etc, etc.).
For Final Fantasy XIV's 11th anniversary, we revised the essay, making it easier for folks who don't play the game to read and understand. We also added a contemporary prologue and coda, about where both the game and we, as a system, are.

Amazing how a mind that contained an entire world,
