so we got published again

so we wrote in Blackest Night, a zine focused on Final Fantasy XIV's Dark Knight class.

for those of you who may not know, Dark Knight is very important to the foundation of our system. so getting the opportunity to write for this was an honor.

and i do mean "we". moko, kakyu, and i (alphy) collaborated on a piece that's set in the headspace of the Warrior of Light (FFXIV player character).

if this sounds interesting to you, keep an eye out for the leftovers sale after preorders finish shipping.

there's this thing that happens after i (alphy) come back to front after Charra does

i (alphy) am a facet of Fionna (a subsystem), and so's Charra. i'm the archetypal emotional processor for the system, and Charra's the archetypal protector/caretaker.

and whenever i come to front after she's in front, there's this weird emotional bleedover1 afterwards. like, in addition to feeling the way she feels, powerful and confident and comfort with existing, i also just feel this… deep, warm love. it feels like a hug. whenever i come into front after her, i feel calm and and relaxed and at peace.

i'm glad i'm a part of her and that she's a part of me2.

  1. emotional bleedover is basically exactly what it sounds like: the carry-over of emotions from one headmate to another, in systems where there are distinct switches.

  2. sorry not sorry for pluralposting on main3.

  3. i have a ticket in to delete my system sideblog and rename this to that handle, because we're too old and tired to bother with masking as a singlet4.

  4. also because i'm far less frontstuck5 and others are getting more time around.

  5. exactly what it sounds like: stuck being the one controlling the body and being "the primary body pilot"
