Hello. May I interest you in motogp?
I'm not going to full CW this, but I do get on a proper whinge about both sports down below so you can pretend that doesn't exist if you'd like.
Honestly I wanna make a good argument for it but it's gotten worse the last year or two. Ducati brought the Stank of F1 style development into the sport along with a ton of fuckin' money and somehow we have wings and dirty air problems now???? Really??? On bikes? Fucks sake. Also we're gonna have sprint races this year... it's probably going to suck, I'm sorry.
Also the guy that won the chip last year got a fucking DUI during summer break and saw absolutely zero consequences for it and can go fuck off. Fuck that shit. Eat shit Pecco. I wish you a good 1997 Damon Hill but on the same damn bike.
But we got my flossy boy Marc hopefully back at full strength being the wildest one to ever put a leg over it, we got funny on track celebrations and a still healthy amount of goofing off. We got on track action that actually does look impressive even without overtaking (we used to have a lot of that not too long ago!!) because of how much influence a rider has over a bike vs driver in car. And because they're not entirely F1 aero devices yet, they don't completely shit the bed when you put them under any significant yaw so they can still slide around and just generally actually show you how damn hard they're working. Also we have, still some Drama but not the full ass 1%-jersey-shore bullshit of F1. Sorry, I could only listen to Horner moan on about a rule change he didn't like so many times without just losing faith in the sport entirely at this endless fucking bickering.
... I'll avoid going on a huge rant about how I fucking hate F1 nowadays, I'll just say I hope Hamilton wins another championship or two and spends the rest of his life trying to do Good Things out there and the sport subsequently collapses in on itself harder than the F9000 did.
Anyway I'm hoping motogp is adequate this year, I do wanna have some Sport in my life and motor Sport is my favorite flavor, but there's only so much enjoyment I can extract from aristocratic pastimes nowadays and that's basically what all motorsports are, when you get down to it.
