I occasionally write long posts but you should assume I'm talking out of my ass until proved otherwise. I do like writing shit sometimes.

50/50 chance of suit pictures end up here or on the Art Directory account. Good luck.

A fuck of a lot of tech is, and has been, solutions looking for a problem. Some of them are now cool, having been wrapped in the protective packaging of time thus making most of the downsides (like resource usage) seem quaint. Some of them were never cool at all. Some found Actual Problems to go solve.

And, for a long time, tech as an industry has also created problems to apply their solutions to. Keeps everyone happy and the money flowing.

But it feels like there's a lot more problem creating lately. There's many solutions and they must, MUST, have a problem to solve. Problem generation is of upmost importance and if someone doesn't throw a wrench in here for us to use [Buzzwords] for, we're all hosed. Someone might realize that all of this shit is an utter waste of time and that the whole world would be better off just making all the things we could already do more efficiently (, energy and resource) instead of tacking on new useless bullshit to make the old white rich dudes think we're all eArNiNg OuR mOnEy or whatever.

Honestly while thinking about this, I was like "This sucks! Why can't the things coming out be like 'hey check out this new camcorder we made, it's hella small and has this feature that no one wants but maybe it'll solve your problem?' instead of 'here's this total non issue we just slapped a LLM on! wow amazing pls give us more vc' but honestly a similar high level argument can be made that both are/were an utter waste and it's just that one is more interesting to me than the other.
