I occasionally write long posts but you should assume I'm talking out of my ass until proved otherwise. I do like writing shit sometimes.

At this point the only thing keeping me even around Twitxert (to use its nobody name) is the few people who refuse to just Go Somewhere Else and even then I'm happy to let them go if they don't Go Somewhere Else soon.
At this point everyone that doesn't depend on it for an income should be leaving, not doing so frankly is just supporting the fascists.
If everyone that doesn't have business reasons leaves, the people with business reasons have a good excuse to bail too.

If it's any consolation, and it kinda is for me, the fact that The CEO and Musk himself are making tweets like "you should post more! It makes X more fun if you do!" Is a sign that Engagement is down, and it's staying down. If MySpace taught us anything about the modern social media landscape, very few sites survive an engagement death spiral.
That is better than blindly denying the problems or the significance of them, which a disturbing number of people who should know better are still very loudly doing.
Oh totally, people I otherwise respect think that the platform can bounce back from vaguely gestures at everything and I'll concede that it probably will, but it won't ever be "the same", and their refusal to concede that is concerning at best.
