I gotta say I'm pretty damn impressed with how Opus handles music at comparatively low bitrates.
It's a shame that storage is so plentiful that there's really no good consumer use for it now. I know even if my mp3 player supported it, I'd probably take enough of a battery life hit for it to not matter. MicroSD cards are so cheap there's no difference in just shoving in V0 MP3s and being done with it. Otherwise I could really see myself dumping everything into 128K or even 112K and being fine with it. 102 or even 96 is realistic for "I can't tell this is transcoded" if you're not paying attention.
If your use case involves moving a lot of audio over the web, which is kinda the whole point of Opus, it makes a lot more sense. Imagine you're say, Bandcamp, that extra 32-64k lower bitrate could be a lot of money at that scale.
