I'm always going to get some little sense of satisfaction when someone else is using my laptop and they quickly realize the trackpad has been disabled, due to my absolute hatred of the things.
It's about 50/50 as to if I'm happy someone is using my computer anyway. I'm more comfortable with someone putting their hand in my pocket than putting their hands on my computer.
Computers are like toothbrushes. You could use someone else's in a pinch but it'll always be a lil weird.
I've disabled the trackpad on laptops without a trackpoint too. Separate mouse or nothing, beats the occasional failed palm reject.
I kinda miss the official bowls that would leave a circle mark on your screen. The mark of the beast.
this post made me look up how to disable the touchpad on my thinkpad, which I hadn't done after I reinstalled the OS. trackpoint 4 lyfe
