Like seriously, what's the incentive? Is it seriously akin to having "followers"? Are some people THAT attracted to being on the "Mario Party 1v3" side of parasocial interaction?

i think for some people its just wanting to have all the people you were mutuals with on one platform be in one place so you can all still interact with each other and stuff,, thats kinda what my discord server is for the most part
I've always been much more of a direct interaction person, so the idea of using one purely for just "I can talk to all of my friends at once" seems... weird.
Obviously if you have anything that requires one to many communication, stuff like art or streams or whatever, then it makes more sense. Perhaps still not a good solution but I can at least see the reasoning.
