@018 Looks like they're using the "motorcycle" layout of the indy road circuit, neat! I'm sure the commentators have said this already but they go down the main straight backwards compared to the direction they drive in the 500. Why? No idea! There's a golf course in there too. Like inside the track. Or at least there was.

@031 It's not actually my favorite time of year but I do love auto racing in october and november, the sun is already down here but there's something about racing in the cold (this makes things sketchy more than you might think!) and the low hanging sun that I like a lot. Valencia is one of my favorite races of the year aesthetically.
@032 "We might have something to talk about" I also love how off the cuff enduro announcers get because... sometimes there's just not a lot going on! It's a slow burn! Love it. It's like a podcast that occasionally gets interrupted by a race going on. Love some of the 24h lemans races from about a decade ago where the overnight stints were always a bunch of old men reminiscing all night.

@035 not sure how I feel about youtube becoming the de-facto "free on air coverage" location for a lot of races. I guess no one really watches TV anymore, and it beats being a paid service or on some obscure cable channel.
I think it's a good thing. Racing needs to be more accessible on every level if it's going to survive.
