Myst (and Riven as well) is one of those games I was fascinated by as a kid, but never beat it.
Finally played through it all the way a few years ago and it was just kinda… disappointing in the end?
At least I got to do it together with a friend and had a lot of fun
I think, having never sat down and played it (Myst et al) but purely based off of my experience of the above, it's the kind of thing that you really gotta be in the right headspace for. Something that leans a lot on, particularly when you're younger, your brain filling in a lot of the gaps and adding that bit of sparkle to it.
I might be completely wrong but that's my gut feeling about it.
no, that's kind of true! It's still a very enjoyable game, I just found the ending(s) a bit... disappointing
