I occasionally write long posts but you should assume I'm talking out of my ass until proved otherwise. I do like writing shit sometimes.

50/50 chance of suit pictures end up here or on the Art Directory account. Good luck.

Be 18+ or be gone you kids act fuckin' weird.

I tag all of my posts complaining about stuff #complaining, feel free to muffle that if you'd like a more positive cohost experience.

Thank fuck Apple dragged everyone kicking and screaming away from 1366x768 14" (and larger!) displays. Those always had awful brightness and contrast too.

We're just about getting to the point where any new-enough-that-you'd-care-to-use-it-regularly thinkpad you find on ebay doesn't have to be extensively researched to make sure it doesn't come with a jumpscare 768p panel in it.

in reply to @plumpan's post:

1680x1050 was nice, my eyes are just about good enough to cope with 1080p 14" without DPI scaling so I lucked out on that one.

What I really miss is the 1200P panel my old T61 had. Not only was the pixel density just high enough to feel ultra high end without needing scaling, but it also was good for REALLY low brightness settings, which are great if you're the kind of person that uses a laptop in bed.

Which may be why I'm posting at @380

yeah, i can use 1080p 13" without problems or 25" 4K at 100% scaling, but my eyes are mutant freaks[1], outliers, and should not have been counted -- i wish for more amoleds on laptops for real low light display
