For work related reasons, my life would be much better if I suddenly knew a LOT about storage IO requirements and how common storage setups can meet them. Specifically stuff like "how do I find out what this application is asking for from the storage in terms of queue depth and how random the I/O is" and "no you idiot, this is why you don't know what you're talking about now stop trying to buy shiny stuff that doesn't even do the job".
If you know general resources for these things then please leave a comment, but if you're the kind of freak that likes explaining these things because you enjoy it, shoot me a message. I've never really had to dig into this much past "why is file copy slow" so I'm a bit behind where I'd like to be. Thanks.
