I occasionally write long posts but you should assume I'm talking out of my ass until proved otherwise. I do like writing shit sometimes.

50/50 chance of suit pictures end up here or on the Art Directory account. Good luck.

Be 18+ or be gone you kids act fuckin' weird.

I tag all of my posts complaining about stuff #complaining, feel free to muffle that if you'd like a more positive cohost experience.

What's fucking me up today is Noctua does not list the temperature in which their MTTF is rated. By comparison,

Corsiar won't give you any expected lifetime, not surprising.
I found one Artic fan that did have a lifespan listed, one that did not (P8 Max and P8)

Meanwhile in the industrial world:

Nidec just gives you an expected lifespan
Sanyo Denki will give you lifespans at 40c and 70c operating temperature.
Delta, well, Maybe give this a read.

Thankfully I am not in a position where having the exact MTTF info impacts me at all, I was just curious when comparing it to more industrial focused fans. Which I may end up buying depending on how well these Noctuas behave in a very airflow restricted situation.

I do think it's interesting that a fairly midrange non ball bearing Delta has a claimed MTTF of over double what Noctua rates theirs, some other ball bearing fans are rated higher still. But it's not really relevant for home use past "hey this fan probably isn't shit".
