I occasionally write long posts but you should assume I'm talking out of my ass until proved otherwise. I do like writing shit sometimes.

50/50 chance of suit pictures end up here or on the Art Directory account. Good luck.

Be 18+ or be gone you kids act fuckin' weird.

I tag all of my posts complaining about stuff #complaining, feel free to muffle that if you'd like a more positive cohost experience.

Funni posting aside, the 360 and PS4 are the worst consoles I've used.

The 360 feels like they were trying to do too much, too early, and literally just sold a broken thing for years and somehow got away with it. Even with the failures aside, it's just a really poor design. Any improvements hardware wise were offset by fucking up the OS. It's a damn shame so many good games are locked in that porta potty of a platform.

The PS4 was designed seeing how bad the 360 was and seeing that people were willing to live in a porta potty anyway. It's not as directly offensive but it cares more about itself than it does me. Thankfully, almost everything worth playing on it got ported off to somewhere better, unlike the 360.

To be a bit on balance, I ended up writing that entire post because of how much I love using the PSone. I love that little thing, even though my interaction with the console is very minimal (EDIT: This means I typically am too busy playing the game to like, be touching the console or in the bios menu). Most consoles are, at worst, just a bit quirky. The Dreamcast is kinda a mess but I wouldn't call it annoying (though I use an ODE). The best thing a console can do is add to the experience of loading a game (GameCube, PS2), but short of that most will just get out of the way, which is great. It's just supposed to play games, it's not the star of the show. The ones that try too hard to be the star of the show, or just get in the way of playing games, are the ones that really annoy me. On that whole list, the 360 and PS4 are the only BAD ones in that regard. Some others have very common hardware faults that also end up getting in the way, unfortunately.

Anyway I felt like explaining the joke today I guess.

My PS4 sounded like a jet engine taking off from day-one and to this day it's actually fucking absurd to me that a company could get away with selling a console with only two fan speeds - full-speed or "no".

The 360's best UI was the blades, for whatever that is worth, in that the media garbage was completely separate from the rest of the console and could be entirely ignored if you wanted to do so. And like, the blades aren't amazing or anything, but they're certainly better than NXE or the Metro UI.

I agree that Blades were very good but even then it still had too much shit going on, all the time. Still had ads. Still wanted to be the single box you had in your living room. It's good compared to, everything that came after it both in terms of consoles and 360 UI updates, but it was bad compared to everything else.

Even if having the built in media player for games without a soundtrack, like Forza 2, was.

The PS4 is a complete fucking joke and I hope that post still got the point across. The only reason it sold so well is because it's competition was somehow even worse.

... And gamers are little fucking spoiled babies that if they're not getting a NEXT GENERATION GRAPHICAL EXPERIENCE they throw all their toys out of the fucking pram. They didn't deserve the WiiU and they chugged down the PS4 sludge instead. Now they get the PS5 and XB4. I'd say "I hope they're happy" but they're fucking delighted, just like pigs in shit.
