"I've spoken to a lot of rank and file people and they're good at their job, and they like their job, but they don't like how the business administration works!"
Unions everywhere. Even in tech bullshit.
I occasionally write long posts but you should assume I'm talking out of my ass until proved otherwise. I do like writing shit sometimes.
50/50 chance of suit pictures end up here or on the Art Directory account. Good luck.

I tag all of my posts complaining about stuff #complaining, feel free to muffle that if you'd like a more positive cohost experience.

Personally 100% agree that every industry ever should be unionised, but even with a unionised workforce, that only does so much to protect a workforce under an upper management who seem to be actively running things into the ground to enrich themselves, especially when the upper management are all directly tied to a founder who seems happy to let said upper management get away with running his company into the ground.
I've worked at a company that felt the same way while I was there and, surprise, it fell apart like six months after I left for another job. Basically everybody who worked there but the management got fucked over badly.
I want a union so bad here. People are far more willing to quit than have solidarity with their co-workers and organize though... we're so short staffed that it'll only take 4 people to pause production. We have the power but need the will!!
I'm not remotely qualified to talk about collective action but the last time I spoke to someone that was, I believe they said something along the lines of "you'd be surprised what you can get rolling once you start the process"
But talk to someone that knows better first lol
I have been saying a few times at work that I don't care about pushing product, it doesn't worry me if tasks get backed up. Only thing that bothers me is if people are working unsafely. Even let that slip to my supervisor and she has been very supportive. Still so many people there work too hard or get rushed in their tasks. It's not worth it, please!! Company will not notice you putting in more effort and hours, your family will though!
