I occasionally write long posts but you should assume I'm talking out of my ass until proved otherwise. I do like writing shit sometimes.

50/50 chance of suit pictures end up here or on the Art Directory account. Good luck.

Be 18+ or be gone you kids act fuckin' weird.

I tag all of my posts complaining about stuff #complaining, feel free to muffle that if you'd like a more positive cohost experience.

The only if, but, or ackshually, is if you REALLY like anime OSTs and Touhou. That's fair, I like playing Marisa Stole The Precious Thing too.

But otherwise SMX does a very good job of bridging the gaps between old eurodance era DDR, ITG, and songs people under the age of 30 might recognize. It gets regular updates with new songs, like basically once a month for the past few years now. The pads, in theory, handle long term use with less maintenance than traditional DDR pads[Citation Needed], which by the way are still using the same design as they did in 1998. The extra center button is super easy to pick up, the UI is miles better in every way, it doesn't fall to pieces without an online connection or require any of the network related garbo that DDR does.

It's just straight up better. And since most people haven't caught on to that yet, the lines at cons tend to be a lot shorter too!

in reply to @plumpan's post:

I will say that some of their pad QC wasn't quite up to snuff for public arcade abuse at least as of a couple years ago - a local barcade's cab has wobbly pads that have somehow been beaten up beyond repair despite constant maintenance by the staff, but to its credit the patrons of that arcade are actually horrible

Yeah I remember some barcade actually had theirs beat to shit but I also think the devs saw that and were like "hey we'll replace that for you if you let us find out how the hell you broke it"

The pads DO move, even when everything is proper. That's a bit weird.
