I occasionally write long posts but you should assume I'm talking out of my ass until proved otherwise. I do like writing shit sometimes.

50/50 chance of suit pictures end up here or on the Art Directory account. Good luck.

Be 18+ or be gone you kids act fuckin' weird.

I tag all of my posts complaining about stuff #complaining, feel free to muffle that if you'd like a more positive cohost experience.

It's a Linux app called Buttons.

All it is, is a graphical window that you can create your own buttons in. Move them around, resize them, name them however you want. All the buttons do is run a bash command. You have checkbox options to keep the bash window open or hide it, or open another window when you click the button to set an input file, etc.

You can save the layout to a file and share it with friends, or load multiple layouts for multiple windows with buttons.

The only point of this program is to avoid actually opening a terminal window and typing anything in. Make it a button.

in reply to @plumpan's post:

it is a good idea, and weirdly the macOS builtin on-screen keyboard is almost this - you can't open multiple windows and it's not that easy to set up, but you can define custom keyboard layouts with custom buttons, and those custom buttons can run applescript, and applescript can do basically anything (including running bash commands in the terminal). you can even share a layout as a file! sadly last i checked linux on-screen keyboards weren't that advanced though...
