I occasionally write long posts but you should assume I'm talking out of my ass until proved otherwise. I do like writing shit sometimes.

50/50 chance of suit pictures end up here or on the Art Directory account. Good luck.

Be 18+ or be gone you kids act fuckin' weird.

And Battle On The Edge as well, why not.

Here's some Daytona USA 2 times. All done in supermodel on a 360 controller (Saturation 190). If you want to play along at home and don't wish to set up an emulator, Sega Racing Classic 2 in Yakuza Gaiden is basically Daytona 2 Power Edition. You just can't change any lap count settings. Hold start while selecting a car for Time Attack mode. All of these times are done not in TA mode. It's optional.

Battle On The Edge

Beginner 8 lap, Phantom MT
Total Time: 2:17.49
Best Lap: 16.83

Advance 4 lap, Scorpio MT (not going to bother going faster on BOTE)
Total Time: 3:06.2
Best Lap: 44.83

Expert: lol not in BOTE

Power Edition

Beginner: ????

Advance 4 lap, Scorpio MT
Total Time: 2:59.421
Best Lap: 42.860

Expert 5 lap, Scorpio MT (2 laps is kinda boring, this is done in Sprint mode not Grand Prix)
Total Time: 9:32.947
Best Lap: 1:53.491

Q&A

Q: What do these words mean?
A: "Battle On The Edge" is the first release version of Daytona USA 2, "Power Edition" is basically a patch that followed shortly after that has some mostly minor changes. The physics are different and times are 100% not compatible. "Scorpio" is the "Normal Level Car", and "Phantom" is the "Hard Level Car" Chums would be the easy car (or Eagle if you must).

Q: How do I play this on PC?
A: Use Sueprmodel. It's a bit of a chore to set up, but there's a GUI frontend in the forum that will probably help if you're on windows.

If you're on Linux, you compile it (with NET_BOARD=1) and run it that way. I'd recommend copying ./Supermodel/Src/OSD/Windows/FileSystemPath.cpp over to ./Supermodel/Src/OSD/Unix/FileSystemPath.cpp so it uses the current working directory for config and what not instead of the ~/.local stuff. Also helps if you want to run multiple copies at once for live cam, etc. Mapping inputs just kind of sucks, sorry.

If that still doesn't help, there's videos on youtube.

Q: How do I drive fast?
A: Practice. Sorry but it's a kinda complex game, mess around and ask more specific questions.

Q: I have a cabinet of this at home, can I play?
A: [Plum wants to know your location]

(sure)

Q: Can I use a wheel?
A: You should use a wheel if you're able, the game is much easier to play that way. Just keep in mind the game is designed for, and really wants, all four gears mapped as separate buttons rather than sequentially. The gameplay involves skipping gears.

Q: Why aren't you posting screenshots?
A: Because I'm lazy. I'll post some if people actually end up playing with me.

Q: Can I play this online?
A: Probably not. LAN play works, but it probably doesn't work with any amount of lag. There is no easy way to play with people outside of a LAN.

Q: I've been playing for the past 5 hours straight and I can't stop, help!
A: Can't help you, I'm stuck in the mirage too.

Yes I put simracing in there. That's called engagement bait.
