I occasionally write long posts but you should assume I'm talking out of my ass until proved otherwise. I do like writing shit sometimes.

50/50 chance of suit pictures end up here or on the Art Directory account. Good luck.

Be 18+ or be gone you kids act fuckin' weird.

I tag all of my posts complaining about stuff #complaining, feel free to muffle that if you'd like a more positive cohost experience.

I've been kinda getting into disc golf again, I say "again" because I could never throw any golf discs well before and would just go throw my ultimate disc around at the course and spend a lot of time digging stuff out of bushes, but now I can kinda sorta throw a golf disc well. And I can forehand somewhat, which is a big win for me!

On one hand, if you just start looking up disc golf stuff on the youtube, you get a lot of... bro vibes, kinda. Which is prooobably more to do with it being on youtube than anything, I have no idea what the actual "community" is like on a whole, BUT

If one thinks about disc golf compared to like, golf golf, it's such a big win. The courses are basically just normal parks with a couple of tee pads and hole baskets put in, there's no fancy landscaping crap going on. There can be ponds and stuff, but you can have that in a normal park too. You have to mow the grass sometimes, but you have to do that in a normal park too. The vast majority of them are just parks, i.e. you can just walk up and play, rather than being a commercial establishment. No green fees, no "exclusivity".

Discs are cheap, at worst they're like $15 a pop for anything you'd actually want to learn with, but you can get them for closer to $5 if you wait for sales or look at discs that have been rejected on cosmetic grounds. And really, you can go out and have a good time with just one or two discs. The extra mostly being in case you lose one. And all you need are discs.

As far as solo outdoors sport stuff goes, it's gotta rank pretty high up there. The only downside is, it's not REALLY strenuous if you want something more exercise-y (speed disc golf???), and you don't get to catch the disc, which is my favorite part normally. :(
