I was thinking about a longer post about the nintendo stuff, though more in general "hey you have a ton of agency with video games maybe consider how you spend your time and money with them as a result of that agency" kind of thing. But I don't feel like a big post.
But the important part is, someone saying "big company is being a dick" and responding with "big company is obligated to be a dick" is both wrong (see: sega fan games) and obnoxious. You're just pointing out that there's two wrongs going on, instead of just one. Stop that.
