ok so, first off let me be clear: F1 fucking sucks. It's a bunch of rich people dickwagging around and not in the hot furry way. In the boring, "my money shows my masculinity" way. It's lots of money passing from one problematic set of hands to another and with a few rare exceptions, the "stars" are typically sheltered rich aristocrats and behave as such.
That being said, I've watched a fair bit of it, and I still enjoy watching races old enough that everything has become quaint. Having been watching some recently, I can not wrap my head around how they let the car companies talk them into the new turbo engines. Like, I do understand why, but losing the high rev sound purely from a branding standpoint was just a Dumb Move. People now still make memes about "F1 car sound" and: whoops the cars haven't sounded like that for 10 years now. Sorry!
"bluh bluh road car relevance" let me know when Merc's multi fuel pulse system gets put in any remotely affordable (by new car standards) road car or just in a damn whitepaper. Remember when we'd at least get whitepapers about whatever dumb shit people were pouring money into in motorsports? There's no point of "technological advancements" if you can't/don't/won't tell anyone about it.
Oh, cars suck too. But everyone knows that already.
Video game cars, on the other hand, are the best.
EDIT: I will make an exception for various small, cute cars based on my mood.
