HARD LIFE SOFT INTERFACE is a video game in development about late capitalist decay, crumbling reality, hatred, suffering, friendship, and hope(?)

this is a mashup of stuff I'm making for my WIP video game, been finalising UI style, illustrating inventory items, and making backgrounds. Also solved some key programming challenges. First look trailer will be out this summer! Release early 2025.

I am making a new video game.

With the death of reality as we have known it, we should probably go outside and touch grass while it’s still possible.

Alternatively, you can rot indoors and play this game when it comes out later in 2024. Set in a late capitalist dystopia (aka a reality simulation), you can
-explore your decaying city
-befriend NPCs with main character syndrome
-find glitches in the fabric of reality itself
-explore a surreal parallel dimension
-take public transport
-scheme against the Achieve Corporation
-find hope(?)

So far there is no Steam page cause it’s expensive to set up and as we all know survival is expensive in and of itself. If anyone wants to help out with that hmu. Also if you want to make music for this game hmu. Keep an eye out and tell your friends and enemies if you feel like it.
