here in Seattle the maximum eclipse extent is around 80% and there's thin cloud cover, but I was able to get this crude photo with the help of a pair of binoculars

ooh nice job, looks cool!! i tried a bit ago, but couldn't quite get it to work
it's difficult to line up properly. we propped up the binoculars on a sign (we had to walk to the nearby bank parking lot because our house has no clear horizon) and wiggled them around like crazy until we got an angle that worked
