the Hardy Boys book I have been trying to read got real Italian-stereotypical for a good bit there

also I found out there's two very different drafts of The Tower Treasure thanks to a massive rewrite in the 1950s—the books were written by a consortium operating under the pseudonym "Franklin W. Dixon" so I suppose they felt free to make extensive changes. now I am not sure what my sibling and I would have read in the 1980s. we may have checked out the older publication. ~Chara
