the series of trashy Catholic horror films starting with The Omen in 1976 (directed by Richard Donner, Richard frickin' Superman Donner) makes use of Megiddo as a location—Gregory Peck goes to Megiddo to talk with Leo McKern (on location in Israel, although I don't actually know if they went to Tel Megiddo proper) and obtain the "Daggers of Megiddo" which are supposedly the only weapons capable of killing the Antichrist. finally one of them ends up in Sam Neill's back in The Omen III. great stuff ~Chara
