Holy heck, finally getting round to re-watching "Silence in the Library" and "Forest of the Dead" is reminding me of how my heart once warmed to Catherine Tate. I thought Billie Piper was okay (I was never on board with the widespread disdain for her), and Freema Agyeman was never given a fair chance IMO; the Doctor Who writers did her no favors. Catherine Tate, though, was someone I felt I really needed to see: someone middle-aged, acid-tongued, impatient with bullshit, and also...someone who'd never amounted to much, someone clinging to whatever shitty job was in reach. ~Chara
