And I don't mean like someone's switching between cameras—I'm positive I've seen this mistake in at least a couple movies, someone watching a tape from a single camera and yet somehow there's cuts between different shots. Related fun: when the security camera has been given an artsy-looking low angle, or a Dutch tilt

Star Trek III and IV are guilty of this twice.

First the security camera footage of Spock dying is full of cuts and cameras panning between characters, because it's just Star Trek II.

Then IV shows footage of the Enterprise blowing up in III being used as courtroom evidence, which has the same problem but even worse because it happened in deep space, orbiting a forbidden secret planet, where nothing and nobody could have possibly existed to film it.
