Those roddenberry shows set in the not-quite-star-trek's-past future sure were something
I choose to believe that Roddenberry's true intention behind Earth: Final Conflict was as a subversive pre-pre-prequel to Star Trek that reveals the Federation to be an authoritarian regime founded on the seductive lure of superior alien technology.
I definitely ought to watch that and compare with The Swarm, which used to be my favorite bad movie for a while
