I really want to see Coppola's Megalopolis but there's a Guardian article out describing how Coppola was a terror to work with and sexually harassed women and arraghafasd. Why do you have to do this to us all, Francis?
Seriously, though, it's a bit scary how on-the-nose this movie is, with regard to a lot of my interests. The Catiline conspiracy? I translated Sallust and Cicero in college, I loved the whole nasty intrigue, it was a fun bit of history. A guy who can manipulate time? I'm here for it. A struggle over what a great city should be? Tell me that's not super relevant. Adam Driver and Giancarlo Esposito? Love 'em both. I kinda hope I adore this movie, but blegh, Coppola.
