I'm pretty sure someone blocked me (ugh, why) over the "redefinition of the kilogram" thread, which seemed to rouse up a disproportionate degree of ire; I guess I need to be more circumspect! Anyway I think that's why I'm getting a lot of notifications that have no obvious explanation. They go away if I try to "view" them though there's nothing there. Is this unavoidable?
I must admit that it's a bit distressing to realize that some Cohost user and their chums are having a nice fun time with "lol what a weirdo" at my expense that I can't see, just because I thought I was raising a valid question about weights and measures and some weird experimental results in the literature. It'd be nice not to see evidence of it. :=(
