any digital artists have any suggestions?

I bought my first cheap intro android drawing tablet last year and it proved to be absolutely worth it, but the problems and hinderances suck and make the drawing process longer than it could be. plus a larger screen, pc-connectivity, and a better drawing pen that actually has buttons would all help greatly (yes, really, my current drawing tablet's pen doesn't have any buttons)

absolute budget cap is $1k CAD (~$750 USD), but optimally it would be under $600 CAD (~$450 USD)

any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I'm not very technically knowledgeable, so it's always hard for me to shop for tech

iPad + Pencil. Seriously, iPad + Pencil. You can get either of the budget models for $330 USD (Last gen, better buy) or $450 USD (current gen, nicer, but with drawbacks) new, and the Pencil (1st Gen) is another $100 (though theres generics on the smile conglomerate site for $20 lol) — So $430 - $550 USD for the pair.

Granted, it doesn't have buttons on the pen, so if you absolutely need that then this is a no go. But the drawing experience is phenomenal and there are programs to use it as a drawing tablet on Windows (and this is a native feature to Mac!)

You can also regularly get a refurbed higher end model on the cheap — E.G. An Air 4th gen (what I use; Recommend!) for $470 USD: https://www.apple.com/shop/product/FYFN2LL/A/Refurbished-iPad-Air-Wi-Fi-64GB-Silver-4th-Generation — Air 4 requires a slightly pricier Pencil ($130 USD) to note, but it does have a capacitive(?) doubletap option, which is functionally similar to a button.

There's also way better drawing apps on iPad, such as Procreate (again, what I use) that make the experience that much better, and its useful for other things as well as a lightweight tablet PC?

Not an Apple shill here; I just have had experience with (all-in-one) tablet PCs, Android tablets, and iPads, and have consistently found iPad the best of them all.

Edit: I don't have experience much with graphics tablets for PCs so I wouldn't know how those compare. But I've heard Huion thrown around a bunch in circles near me.
