the one night I could see stars was over a week ago when the comet was dimmer, and I never glimpsed it through binoculars—there's way too much sky glow. now the comet should be higher up in the sky and brighter but the weather's not cooperated. I think this is probably going to be another big astronomical miss to add to a very long list, and that's so depressing. ~Chara
and this is the night when the comet's supposed to be closest! I feel really let down. I peeped out of my burrow on Groundhog Day and all I saw was the Moon blurred and dimmed by a layer of thin clouds. I guess that means six more weeks of...something.
