The aesthete's life, the bohemian life of devotion to art and pleasure, has never looked more dismal and cheerless than in David Cronenberg's Naked Lunch and, well, that's a mood.

There was a time in my "real life"—it seems almost a million years ago now, even though it was only several years—when I thought I'd learned how to enjoy myself in Seattle, and I wallowed in sex and drugs and felt like I'd "made it" somehow.

Now what is there to do? Writing reports, I guess.

not without some cuteness. I rather wonder, however, why he's hanging out at a police station ~Chara

I think it's funny btw that I know Peter Weller chiefly from two movies: Paul Verhoeven's RoboCop, where his character's free will is taken away; and David Cronenberg's Naked Lunch, where his character's free will is taken away (or maybe he learns he never had any) ~Chara
